Buddhism more or less concedes the existence of the various kinds of Hindu divinities. Also those of Confucianism, Taoism, Bon, Shinto, the Burmese folk religions, and so on.

A person can be a Jew or a Christian or a Muslim or an atheist and practice Buddhism.
The idea is to practice the teachings, not worship the teacher.
