We passed a ballot initiative a couple of years ago creating a 9 member commission for equitable redistricting.  3 each; dems, repubs, independents.  Their initial draft pushed LB out of her current district into one with Boulder County.  Should have kept it but fairer heads prevailed.  Too bad minority rule states like NC and Wisc. choose to play hardball.  May Tom Delay rot in hell!

The Neguse/Boebert debates would have been legendarily bad.

I should have looked you up on my trip out instead of hanging out in my parent's COVID den. For some reason "John's home to take care of Dad for a week" translated to "OK watch your Dad I'm going to Central City" - lucky that COVID is all I got.

Nominally that wouldn't be an issue, they are so screwed up that they aren't exactly authoring anything. But with the thin majority that McCarthy has, he needs every vote and sadly they can wrench the whole thing up.

Seriously some non-crazy Republicans should just cut a deal with the Democrats to install someone besides McCarthy as speaker so some work can get done.

You should have but I'm probably as old as your folks.  They still in Niwot area?  I'm closer to FOCO now.  Went to Central City once since gambling started and that was enough even though I like to gamble.
