he two-day poll completed on Thursday showed that 62% of Americans - including 68% of Democrats and 55% of Republicans - said they were less likely to back a candidate who supports going after companies for their views.

Seems a little hard to believe those numbers are that high.

Anyone ever read Grover Norquist? I used to agree with him. He is not a Trump populist nationalist and opposed tariffs, even though he supported Trump. He is a radical antigovernment laissez faire free market absolutist, and supports starving the government via massive tax cuts.

Grover says things like, (paraphrasing) we got along just fine before 1908, so we should go back to that, before the socialists took over. Or every dollar spent by government is a dollar taken away from the real economy.

He apparently opposes all the social progress we made during the 20th Century?

Radical free market capitalism is like radical command economy socialism. They might sound appealing in theory, but do not work in practice.

Good article on why Big Domestic Oil is not ramping up production to pre-covid levels. Big shock. It has nothing to  do with Joe Biden canceling Keystone XL or new leases. It is about the infamous supply chain bottlenecks, a labor shortage, and the big one: investor push back.

It would cost big money to solve transportation issues, train new workers, and start drilling. They have the money in the form of record profits. But that is being used to reward investors who lost money when oil prices crashed in 2020.
