Yeah, I don’t (and never did) consider  whether or not Rittenhouse’s mom dropped him off, or whether he brought the weapon from Illinois were the most important parts of the equation.

For someone who admittedly didn't follow the case closely, and who posted that Rittenhouse crossed state lines with a gun, and who took Kirk and company to task about state lines; you seem to have settled on Rittenhouse intentionally took his gun to shoot people tho he was acquitted of all intentional charges.

Based on what I saw and what I read of the laws in question, he should've gotten off.  Those laws are pretty crazy though IMO.

Agreed. The laws are crazy, and precedent is pretty well etched in stone. And then when I heard about the judge, I became even less interested in following the case.

The laws are not really crazy. The prosecution did a terrible job The defense persuaded the jury to use the wrong standard / there was reasonable doubt.

By Wisconsin law, it was not enough that Rittenhouse feared for his life. A person of average intelligence and prudence in the same situation  would have to reasonably believe their death was imminent to justify deadly force.
