"Early on Tuesday morning protesters had lit bonfires in the streets around the federal courthouse and tried to ignite the plywood protecting the building. There were fewer fires at the protests early on Wednesday morning." -- NYT
"A pile of debris burned outside the federal courthouse late Wednesday night as Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler attended a nearby protest.
Tear gas was deployed at around that time and fireworks exploded near the courthouse and the Justice Center." -- KATU Portland
"Portland protesters barricaded federal officers inside a courthouse -- and tried to set the building on fire... " -- NY Post
And the KATU story.
It doesn't sound like Wheeler got a great reception in the right wing bias story. Was he, and his security detail, out of there by midnight ?
I've read that most violence occurs between 1am-5am.
No Portland Police presence other than to declare a riot ?
