Government officials said their conduct, or lack of it, played no role. We are supposed to believe them!

The article MN cited said the frequency of random inspections had nothing to do with it.

The frequency of random inspections isn't all that important, so long as they do occur. The randomness encourages voluntary compliance.

The problem was state level  on site inspectors detected problems but didn't take enforcement action..

And if they donated to Trump, what are the odds of random testing?

If a deadly outbreak can occur with full staffing and no cuts in testing I guess inspector staffing or cuts in testing may have nothing to do with the occurrence of an outbreak.

An agency spokesperson said the frequency of random inspections was not a factor.

Random inspections appeared to have little impact on 'encouraged voluntary compliance' at the Jarrett plant.

The state inspector non-compliance reports go into a federal database. It's up to federal agencies to take, or not take, enforcement actions.
Thanks, Joe.

Except we were told Biden was too sleepy and that would change under the new regime. Looks like it didn't.

We've finally come around to the trade that the Biden voters loved. People died because Biden was too sleepy.

The real problem:

State inspectors were in charge of routine facility monitoring because of a federal-state partnership called the Talmadge-Aiken (TA) Cooperative Inspection Program.

Numerous violations were detected prior to the listeria outbreak, but there was lack of adequate follow up.

meat and poultry processing plants processing interstate products are subject to daily, continuous inspection rather than random checks.

I'm being told that Joe being too sleepy was the trade that caused the outbreak.

Sleepy Joe was too business friendly!  He should have allowed FDA to be salted by progressives instead of Homeland Security.

The outbreak was because Joe was too business friendly and not because he was sleepy ?

I'm told it's the Republicans who are the too business friendly ones.

We got the same result whether Joe or Trump is too sleepy and/or business friendly. We were promised a difference. Except Trump is far more corrupt
