plantar fascitis is something I've never had to deal with but I am assured it's a bitch
It is.
I had it a while back. Did all the stretches, etc. and it got better.
Then, around this past March or so, it started feeling like shit again. Was like eh, whatever. I know how to deal with it. I'll stretch it out again sometime, it'll be fine.
Welllll....
Fast forward to early May. I went on a business trip. Well, as airlines typically do, they fuck you over. My flight into O'Hare was late, and I had to run through there to try to get my flight to Peoria. I got to the gate, and it was closed. Fuck. So, then they booked me on another one, but I had to hurry the fuck up to make that one to. So, I was running, and suddenly felt a pop in my foot. Followed by intense fucking pain.
Got in a walking boot shortly after. MRI showed a severe tear in the instep of the plantar fascia. They say it takes time to heal, 85 percent of the time it heals on its own. Well, it hasn't. The doctor said at this point, surgery is probably the right answer. So, I'm doing that on the 24th.
In the meantime, this summer has been total bullshit.
