Work permits for aliens with pending cases have to renewed periodically, normally annually. Due to a recent change, it appears they can be good for a max of 5 years.. Singh's initial authorization from 2021 may have expired and been renewed more than once. According to the SF Chronicle, his current authorization expires in 2030.

So while the initial permit may have been issued under the Biden Administration, it is very possible it was updated this year.

Update: For asylum seekers in the U.S., work permits (Employment Authorization Documents or EADs) are generally valid for 5 years, both for initial applications and renewals, according to USCIS and ASAP. This change from the previous 2-year validity period was implemented by USCIS in October 2023.

Here's a more detailed breakdown:
Initial Work Permits:

Asylum seekers can generally apply for a work permit 150 days after filing their asylum application.


Validity Period:
If approved, the EAD will be valid for up to 5 years, according to USCIS.

So Singh renewed for 1 year in 2022, 2:years in 2023, and 5 years in 2025. According to the SF Chronicle, his current permit is dated April 8 and expires in 2030..

Probably when he killed 3 people because he had a CDL and can't read English well enough to know what "No U Turns" means.

I don't think the Governor issues those.

It appears his work permit expired this year. I am pretty sure ICE Barbie didn't personally renew it..

All I know is that the next Democratic administration will be taking equity stakes in just about every company around, and they will impose DEI on them like a bitch.
