I have no idea. Never been into TM, know next to nothing about it. They are supposed to keep their mantra secret.

I know a little about Patanjali Yoga, and quite a bit about Buddhism. Real Buddhism, not the Hollywood version.

I always trusted the basic Zionist message. I still think there is truth there, but when they get caught in deception, it's hard to separate truth from fiction.

I don't do research. I have practiced and studied with experts from Nichiren, Zen, Shingon, Tiantai, and Theravada traditions. I have read up on the Pure Land, Consciousness Only, Tibetan, and Flower Garland Schools. Also read up on 8 limb Yoga.


Public impressions aren't  as badly confused as they used to be. The first time I mentioned practicing Buddhism to a friend, he completely freaked out. That was a little over 50 years ago.

There is still an impression that Buddhism and martial arts are related. I gather that's unique to Zen. 

Just like people often think of yoga as only the postures and don't know about the other 7 "limbs."

Or some think TM, Buddhism, and Yoga are all about the same thing.
