The first FBI 1023 was from 2017.
Brought up again in 2020.
Weiss tried his damndest to let Hunter off the hook for any Biden involvement during the Burisma years. And he was successful in letting the statute of limitations on those years expire.
It's now 2024 and an election year.

You read the CNN article withe following headline ?
Indicted ex-FBI informant told investigators he got Hunter Biden dirt from Russian intelligence officials.

The indictment and the story say no such thing from what I've seen.

Of course it isn't in the indictment. Smirnov revealed that tidbit after his arrest. Information gleaned after the indictment would not be in the indictment.

"According to prosecutors, Smirnov admitted in an interview after his arrest last week that “officials associated with Russian intelligence were involved in passing a story” about Hunter Biden. They said Smirnov’s contacts with Russian officials were recent and extensive, and said Smirnov had planned to meet with one official during an upcoming overseas trip."

From the Hindustan Times. Pretty much every outlet is repeating the same news release.

"a story" is not Hunter Biden dirt.

Danchenko told stories too.
And Danchenko's stories were all dirt that the FBI was happy to present.

It's only degrees of awful for Republicans who were either one of two things:
1) Unwitting assets, which means they were too fuckin STOOOOOPID to see the Russians using them.
or
2) Willing assets, which means they were doing the bidding of our nation's adversary, betraying their oath of office, citizens, and the country.
