Wasn't it stated she or any other woman from Texas seeking this could be arrested? Sick f-ing politics in Texas. One of those politicians knock up some woman there you can bet your bank that they get an abortion done. Guar-on-teed.
This is from NBCDFW in June. But it just doesn't fit the narrative, does it.

"New Mexico has seen a surge in abortions, driven largely by residents from Texas and other states ...."

We can speculate all day long about the circumstances.  Her lawyers are arguing that “continuing this nonviable pregnancy poses a threat to her life and future fertility, thus necessitating an abortion.”
https://www.texastribune.org/2023/12/08/texas-abortion-lawsuit-ken-paxton/

For me, this is medical decision that should be left to the pregnant women, her family and doctors.  I'm sure she was devastated to hear the news that her fetus has a lethal abnormality, then doubled it while agonizing over the decision, then right out of the park when the dipshit AG puts his two cents in.

She's known about the anomaly since last month. She could have had the abortion performed already.
And termination of a pregnancy is not "reproductive rights" but it's a catchy phrase for aborting a fetus.

There's probably a little part in the oath of office that requires the AG to follow the law.

Seems like they’re very purposely testing the new rules in the court of law and using the court of public opinion to generate support. Could buy a lot of plane, bus, or train tickets (or Uber rides) to have it done for what it cost to retain counsel to argue about locally. I’d wager she’s not footing the bill.

She better act fast and then get out of town.  What kind of sick and twisted mentality is that?   This is why the government can't be allowed in the doctor's office.  I hope the voters in Texas are paying attention.

Maybe because she wants to stay in the state where she lives, where she lives with her husband and two children, where she has a job outside the home, and have her rights as an American upheld?   I commend her courage for trying to go this route.

Apparently taking this thru the legal system supercedes her "urgent medical need".
What kind of sick and twisted mentality promotes taking an issue thru drawn out legal delays for an "urgent" medical need when the issue can be addressed without taking it thru the courts?

And maybe the government should have been in Larry Nassar's office.

So, you are equating a women seeking an abortion for medical reasons with a sex offender and serial child molester?

Yep! And this woman has the audacity to seek relief through the legal system.

Nope, not at all.
I'm not the one who said the government should stay out of doctor's offices either.

You make a good point.. When and why should government stick their noses in doctor's offices?

Abortion is often difficult and complex. If a doctor says the unborn child is unlikely to survive and the pregnant mother's life is at risk; then a decision to terminate the pregnancy might be easy and simple.
