It appears they will be sometime in the near future. Possibly 2024…

This is incredibly stupid and another illustration of how the B1G's conference expansion has had no long-term strategy vs. short-term money grabs.

What is the coherent end-game by adding Rutgers, Nebraska, and USC/UCLA, other than creating a conference that makes no sense? If you're going to do that, may as well invite Washington, Colorado, Arizona, a Texas school, BYU, Oklahoma State, and Kansas because you're not really a conference as much as a league.

C'mon Calvin, it is all about the Benjamins. This will be another financial windfall for Guenther Jr. to do nothing with to help the football team.

I, for one, welcome two more football teams to the league that will beat us consistently. At least Illinois will get to The Rose Bowl again in my lifetime.

Interesting.
But what does that do to the Rose Bowl game, other than making it another conference tilt when not hosting the Nati ?

We’re gonna have two super conferences. SEC and the Big WayMoreThanTen.

4 super conferences of 16 teams. 64 teams for post season hoops and 12-16 for post season fb.
Work out new tv rights.
See ya, NCAA. Been nice knowing you.

Sheesh. If they were going to go insane why not Cal and Stanford. Better academics (not by much, but better) and then I could go see the Illini down the street.

Speaking of which some friends of mine were out in Sonoma recently and spent a night in Healdsburg. I asked them if they encountered any obnoxious cyclists but they couldn’t recall any.

Not a good day for anyone not named tO$U or MI. 2 LA area teams flush with B1G cash and exposure are going to kill it. Iowa, Wisconsin, etc. will be right there with Illinois sucking ass in football.

If it's pure money, they had better plays. The Pac TV deal sucks in part because wear coast sports markets have fractional value compared to the south and east.
