I told a family member that it doesn't matter if the kids can't transmit, you can't have schools without teachers and they will just retire. She said "That's a good thing, more jobs for younger people"

Then some argument that it would be good for Social Security - not sure how people retiring and not paying into the system is good for Social Security (leaving aside that teachers aren't in SS)
