The spot price for oil is 20 dollars higher than June futures. If there is no actual fertilizer and the spot price doesn’t come down - your hedge ain’t worth shit if the trader won’t make good on your futures contract

This is ag. The smart ones buy fuel and fertilizer before the season when begins. Fill the tanks all the way up and when they refill them it’s at the locked in price they bought it at this winter when it was at a multi year low.
Fertilizer that isn’t produced domestically in the US was already mostly in place for this growing season. Small possibility urea gets tight in some rare instances this summer if this continues? There are other options. We are not in a situation where we won’t have fuel or fertilizer for the 2026 crop season. So yes, hedges will be honored.
Stop getting news about crops and fertilizer from people who don’t know a fucking thing about it. It was either you or tempo who posted a screed from some guy about fertilizer shortages and literally the first thing he said in the video/transcript was that he doesn’t know anything about fertilizer.
