One time I made a facetious remark that she took literally and got offended. She insisted I meant something other than what I intended. My take on what Trump said has not changed. He didn't say brown people are prone to violence.

The south Asian post was successful if it ended up in the timeline of people who read what Trump said and got the same impression that you did. 

This is the goal of some foreign accounts.

Lead in the paint, especially in old inner city buildings, was, allegedly, a huge factor relating to crime. As lead was removed from paint, etc., crime rates went down.
