When a clown moves into a palace, he doesn't become a King. The palace becomes a circus!

It appears as tho there are only 2 Presidents who have pardoned immediate family members, President Biden and President Auto-pen.

Aren't they the same guy?

Your silence during the Obama and Biden tenures betrays your bias.

Deflection!

That would be questionable as to whether or not President Teleprompter and Presiden-Auto-pen are one in the same.
Or are you referring to a son, 2 brothers and a sister as being the same guy ?

Why cite reports at all when you just "know" stuff?...That's the real MAGA way.

47 pardoned his son-in-law's father, and then nominated him to be Ambassador to France.

Kushner hired a prostitute to seduce his brother-in-law, arranging to record a sexual encounter between the two and send the tape to his sister.

On December 23, 2020, President Trump issued a full and unconditional pardon to Kushner, his daughter's father-in-law,[29] citing his record of "reform" and "charity"

On November 30, 2024, president-elect Trump announced through a social media post that he would nominate Kushner to be the United States ambassador to France in his second term.[44] On February 12, 2025, his nomination was sent to the Senate.[45] His nomination was confirmed by the Senate by a vote of 51-45.

That's really not a good argument. Abortion and marriage aren't like things. Abortion is undesirable, a necessary evil, something that should be safe and rare.

I think most people oppose abortion, but respect the right of women to choose. They also recognize medical reasons for abortion.

You're being mealy mouthed here. "Oppose abortion" - active tense.
"Respect the right of women to choose" - passive form.

People *support* the right of women to choose. Not "respect". Abortion rights have a stronger majority support than gay marriage did when the Obergfell ruling came. Also note - despite your claims that society has moved on gay marriage, if Obergfell landed in the Supreme Court today, Obergfell would lose. The GOP hasn't quite decided to find a plaintiff to go after it, but I'm sure it's in the agenda.

My boss is the gangster.

tickling trump - removing the export restrictions would be 100 billion in revenues, 10 billion in taxes, thousands of jobs... "and reduce our trade deficit".

Is mealy-mouthed another word for nuanced?

More than 60% think abortion should be a legal option. How many would actually choose that option?

The point I am making is that the public viewpoint on a subject is irrelevant if it differs from the 6 conservative supreme court justices. And that difference is becoming more pronounced. Trump wins "because eggs" or "because her emails" and then boom he puts nutters on the Supreme Court in return for favors and they gut the rights that the populace writ large prefers.

I mean, DeSantis goes prancing around that Florida defeated an initiative for recreational marijuana - 55% of voters voted YES - but the law says they need 60% so sorry, and we control the legislature and governors office and we're worried that you might get to 60%, so we're gonna change the law to make it harder for you to pass it.

The tariffs have been ruled unconstitutional.

The public viewpoint is not irrelevant. Support of the majority for an issue is important. It's just not enough. Democrats have to win the political games. Republicans have committed, vocal minorities.

It will be interesting to see if Clarence Thomas rules against free trade.
