You know, maybe in the end, my problem with Custard and Mn is not that they are Trump supporters. It's that they are Trump supporters but not smart enough to take the bull by the horn and go out and get some publicity, do some massive financial crimes, get convicted, claim they are victims, and get pardons. Instead they are just blindly pumping money into said corrupt cronies in the name of owning the libs and shackling the mexicans.

The motivation for pardoning frauds and thieves is Trump acting like a monarch.  Demonstrating he decides the fate of the judged, not the courts.

I think a constitutional amendment to limit the Presidential pardon power might get bipartisan support in the future.

That's really not a good argument. Abortion and marriage aren't like things. Abortion is undesirable, a necessary evil, something that should be safe and rare.

I think most people oppose abortion, but respect the right of women to choose. They also recognize medical reasons for abortion.

Change abortion to marriage, or gay marriage, or interracial marriage:

"I think most people oppose marriage /gay marriage / interracial marriage, but respect the right of women to choose. They also recognize medical reasons for marriage /gay marriage / interracial marriage."

That doesn't work..

Also, my impression is the old school liberals who favored Roe weren't really enthusiastic about marriage equality..
