Maybe they could have done it in a way that didn’t double or triple the price for young healthy people.

Good excuse to make more money

Short term pain for long term gain. Politicians have fallen into the trap of trying to have things always pointing up and government spending propping everything up to maintain their office and popularity, which is entirely unsustainable. If a few months of having the markets down a little bit is the price to pay for the uncertainty we experience while reworking trade deals in our favor, cleaning house in federal government, rooting out WF&A, seeking peace in Europe and the ME, etc, I’ll gladly take it.

That's what they said in 1929. The depression didn't end until World War 2. Is that the plan, have a huge depression then start a war?

The trade deals in the world have always been massively stacked in our favor. We import low margin shit and export high margin shit. Then people freak out because we are buying so much low margin shit that the total sum value exceeds the amount of high margin shit, and they want the low margin shit to be made here. The thing is - YOU MAKE NO MONEY MAKING LOW MARGIN SHIT. THAT'S WHY WE DON'T BOTHER.

It's not as tho U.S. service members were killed in Kabul. It's not as tho civilians were droned in Kabul. It's not as tho hundreds or more of Tren de Aragua were allowed into the country. It's not as tho the Secretary of Defense went missing for days. It's not as tho a high ranking general told his Chinese Commie counterpart that he would let him know if the President, the man he worked for, was up to anything.

The mission was apparently a success and eliminated an Al-Qaeda leader.

4 soldiers missing in Lithuania. When asked - Trump doesn't know about it. The talking heads say "He's not gonna comment on something he hasn't been briefed on". Bullshit. Anyone with a phone or TV already had that story. Trump just didn't want to admit something bad happened on his watch so he laid a line of bs.

Here is what Trump wrote:

"The scum that worked to convict him were some of the same lunatics who were involved in the modern day weaponization of government against me. He was given two life sentences, plus 40 years. Ridiculous!"

Maybe they could have done it in a way that didn’t double or triple the price for young healthy people.

There were a few things that caused an immediate increase in rates.

*Blended gender rates. This lowered rates for women, raised them for males.

*Mandatory maternity benefits, including complications of pregnancy in all health policies.

*Certain minimum benefits including screenings with no out of pocket cost.

*Removal of the life time  benefit caps.

*Annual open enrollment

*Eliminated pool closing

This had a disproportionate effect on healthy, low risk  young men, who got a break for health insurance under the old system.

One of the concepts was to broaden to the risk pool..

The other was to encourage participation via refundable income tax credit financing and tax penalties for noncompliance. Trump removed the poorly enforced penalties.

So apparently Trump has said “100% we’ll get Greenland” and said he wouldn’t rule out using the military. No wonder he and Putin get along so well.

He played this game constantly in his first term.  Projectile mouth diarrhea about what he "won't rule out."
