I would like to reiterate Ukraine’s commitment to peace.

None of us wants an endless war. Ukraine is ready to come to the negotiating table as soon as possible to bring lasting peace closer. Nobody wants peace more than Ukrainians. My team and I stand ready to work under President Trump’s strong leadership to get a peace that lasts.

We are ready to work fast to end the war, and the first stages could be the release of prisoners and truce in the sky — ban on missiles, long-ranged drones, bombs on energy and other civilian infrastructure — and truce in the sea immediately, if Russia will do the same. Then we want to move very fast through all next stages and to work with the US to agree a strong final deal.

We do really value how much America has done to help Ukraine maintain its sovereignty and independence. And we remember the moment when things changed when President Trump provided Ukraine with Javelins. We are grateful for this.

Our meeting in Washington, at the White House on Friday, did not go the way it was supposed to be. It is regrettable that it happened this way. It is time to make things right. We would like future cooperation and communication to be constructive.

Regarding the agreement on minerals and security, Ukraine is ready to sign it in any time and in any convenient format. We see this agreement as a step toward greater security and solid security guarantees, and I truly hope it will work effectively."

It took you 10 long years to finally come to the same realization as Donald Trump did in 2015: The US is a staunch ally but Europe needs to pay their fair share for NATO and their wars.

Man the Democrats are going to be so fucking mad if Trump gets a deal done that cedes the part of Ukraine that wants to be Russia, but not as mad as if he gets a deal done that leaves Ukraine as it was prior to invasion.

They'll get to the table, Putin will ask for unconditional surrender, Zelensky will say no, trump will say Zelensky doesn't want peace. What a cheese eating surrender Monkey Trump is.

This is hilarious. Stalin salted the satellite countries with Russian speakers at the end of WW2 for a reason: To suck in the future Custards of the world.

By this logic, if Mexico wants its land back along the southern border (Texas, New Mexico, Arizona...), and the majority are Spanish speakers and "decide" they have had enough of Johnny Gringo, then the US should just give the land back!

The people in the Eastern part of Ukraine voted for Ukrainian Independence in 1991.

Like everywhere, there are a small number of Ukrainians that want to be part of Russia.  There are also Russians that live in Ukraine and now want Ukraine to be part of Russia.  Some were shuttled across the border to settle in abandoned villages and occupied areas.

A minority does not get to decide the path for a majority.  On top of that, Russia is also full of ethnic minorities like these.  The solution is not invasion by the neighboring country, but development of democratic cultural rights within those states. 

If Russia were a normal country, it would announce a program for receiving anyone from Ukraine who wants to be a Russian subject.

I have no problem with Trump asking the European countries to increase their own security funding. 

But we're no longer a "staunch ally".  We're now pals with Russia, Hungary and North Korea.

Give me a break.

6 weeks of tough talk with our allies about our collective failed effort to end this war doesn’t magically undo decades and decades of strategic alliances.

None of these people had any respect for Biden. He couldn’t hold a press conference, let alone stand up to Putin. The best he could do was scrunch his face up and call him names. Worse, Isolating Russia only pushed them closer to China and NK while doing little to slow the war.

Attempting to end the war by reopening communication with Russian leaders is just basic foundational stuff, pretty much the way all cease fires happen, but oMG hE’s sUckInG PuTiNs cOck 🥴🥴🥴
