Money always wins.  And there is a lot of money involved here.   

Looking back, I think Elmo and Vivek should have just kept their mouths shut on the H-1B visas issue.  It is not that big a concern among the larger anti-immigration crowd, which is much more focused on border security, asylum seekers and the imagined "immigrant crime wave".
