Jennings also sort of implies that the tariffs are just a threat to get Mexico to stop the flow of fentanyl and illegal immigrants. If I were Mexico I'd just say fuck off. Tariffs aren't going to mean that suddenly we move December tomato production to Minnesota. It just means higher prices in the US, won't impact Mexican produce farms one bit. The only reason cartels might be selling fentanyl into the US is because of demand in the US. It's not COVID - the presence of fentanyl pills in some crack house does not magically put them into Judge Judy's mouth and create his hallucinations.
