So what’s the deal on Dainja? Not a lot of people (surprisingly) seem hyped on him, but his tape looks really impressive to me.

Oh I think a lot of people are definitely hyped. Just not much news on him since he came here. Nothing to really talk about, but it good he has been practicing with the team all second half of last season. Should step in and be productive right away imo. Very athletic and a damn man (I think, as I have not checked his genitals).

I would bet an American, A10 school, or lesser Big East school would take Podz and he could probably play 25+ minutes starting SG minutes. He had a Kansas offer out of high school apparently. Type of kid who often goes to a place like Dayton and then winds up averaging great numbers in 2-3 years.

If we run a 3-guard set, our other guards currently are Clark, Epps, Harris, RJ, and Goode, one of whom is coming off an ACL tear and none of whom have a track record of playing high-D1 minutes. I know we're trying to add an experienced CG, but I think minutes are there if you're good enough to compete at this level, just not a guaranteed starting spot.

Idk. We aren’t exactly deep at guard and several of them are going to be first year guys. Doesn’t seem completely crazy to think he’d be able to compete and earn decent minutes after a year in the program. Probably more pissed about being glued to the bench the last several games when our guard play was utter horse shit and primary rotation guys clearly needed some rest.

There is another back story.  Podz dad used to very active at Loyalty. Seemed credible and was very upbeat. Apparently the Podz clan and friends attended a game, and he dnp. After that, Podz dad apparently stopped posting and there were vague rumors they were disappointed.

Well I am sure he wanted more time and it wasn't like our guards were very good in second half of year.
Best of luck to him.

Schools from every power conf. have reached out to Podz. (Including big ten)

If Damonte Williams can start in a power conf.🥱, then so can Podz.

Yeah I’m in the boat that Podz can be very good at the high-major level. Very good player and has a tremendous work ethic. He’s definitely a Wisconsin kid.

Hype will or won't start after Kofi decision.

Haha, good point.
"He commented more than once that, 'You know, Hitler did some good things, too,'" Kelly recalled to The Times. Kelly said he would usually quash the conversation by saying "nothing (Hitler) did, you could argue, was good," but that Trump would occasionally bring up the topic again.

Oh I think a lot of people are definitely hyped. .

Couldn’t get off the bench at Baylor.  This is like being hyped that the football team got unproductive players from Bama/Notre Dame and thinking they’d be stars here.  1 guy you could say worked out like that (Immatorbehbe) the rest were trash (Eddie Smith, the WR from ND, the o lineman from Bama).

Possibly so, but to be fair to Dainja, he redshirted his first season, and well the team did pretty well with the players that were ahead of him. He is from Chicago with family midwest ties, which is why he probably chose to come here. He will be a very good player for us imo long term.

Wished it would have worked out here. Best of luck to you, Belo! Hope you kill it there!

Best to Belo as he moves closer to home and a fresh start. Anderson is not a bad option for him in terms of coaches.

St Johns is the right spot for an out of control transition guard.

They were 4th in all of NCAA in pace.
Illinois was 187.

Curbelo can freely go up and down the floor there with no regard for turnovers
