Agreed. It was HORRIBLE. But all things considered, Underwood is doing a bang up job here. He’s literally resurrected this program from the dead. I had actually given up hope of ever being in the conversation for 1 seeds. That’s how bad it was.

I’d go as fas to say that the Loyola loss was the worst in Illini history. But overall, Underwood’s results have been excellent the last three years, and his recruiting is good if not stellar. I’m willing to let this play out before getting all over the top dramatic.

Hell, I’d given up hope for NCAA berths for that matter. Never in my lifetime did I think the Illini program would sink as low as it did in the 2010s.
