We'll have Dainja, Hawkins, Leib and ? as our bigs

we will miss a shitload of experience and shooting though, but if Plummer comes back that would be very helpful

Plummer is playing his 5th year now. IDK how he gets a 6th or why he would want one. He will be 25 this year.
He can make good money at next level somewhere.

Would be nice if the team got some wins in this year's tourney before people start worrying about next year and the year thereafter.

Kofi could come back if NIL money is more than he’d make in the G League.

Unless Curbelo plays like an All-American the next 8 weeks, I don’t know where he’d be going. Unless he’s desperate to get out, which isn’t anything I’ve heard, at least.

Curbelo/Epps/Harris Pg type of guards (Harris would only be a 3rd PG if needed I think)
Pods/Harris/Rodgers WG types (Epps as well from scoring standpoint)
Goode/Meledez/Rodgers WF types
Hawkins/Goode/Melendez PF types (Melendez will make a huge jump imo)
Payne/Dainja/Leib C types.

Overall not bad balance as we have some experience at every spot...Would need a HUGE year from Rodgers/Hawkins/Dainja to be anywhere near the top 1/3 of the conference and or even sniffing the Top 25. Our only save would be many other teams will be down in conference as well on some level.

Not impossible for next year if we pull in some experienced scorers and big men.
Otherwise it is Curbelo (if he returns) and a bunch of decent looking young kids with some promise.

A potential 1st team All-American PG with some “decent looking young kids with promise” should get you into the discussion in a 64 team tournament. Probably not title contenders, but by no means should we be writing next year off.

I'll try.
Curbelo has started 4 of 7 games and played 140 minutes. He's hardly a starter right now.
Our starters, who will all be gone next year, scored 71 of our 80 points vs Wisco.
And the transfer portal works both directions. Players can leave too.

He was a pre-season All-American on some lists. He counts as a starter. The only real reason he isn’t starting has been health issues.
