A Google search says McMichael is worth 3 million. Let’s be conservative and cut that in half and say 1.5 million. Still likely to be able to afford an Uber rather than drink and drive.

Hampton sold his Burr Ridge home for 1.3 million last February, so I’m guessing a $15 Uber ride fits in the budget.

I have. Like many towns there are nicer and not so nicer parts. Regardless, we’re talking about Hampton, who clearly isn’t struggling.

Saw him and Mongo in concert with their Chicago 6 band a couple summers ago. Otis Wilson is also in the band, but he was sick that performance, so he wasn’t able to make it. Did a meet and greet and picture with them beforehand. Pretty cool guys and band. Meeting and talking with Mongo and him was a childhood dream. Especially with how fast Mongo went downhill afterwards. Glad I got to see him when I did.

That said, Hampton’s 4 DUI’s are inexcusable.

Speaking of Otis, I once ran into him at the turn at Orchard Valley Golf Course in Aurora. Very brief, but memorable encounter.

Crazy to think the 1985 championship was 36 years ago. Hampton and Mongo were still like giants and humongous standing next to them. Really wish I could’ve seen Otis too.
