When I was a kid, homosexuality was viewed as a mental illness. It was also associated with outlandish conduct, sexual promiscuity, and pedophilia.

I was taught the superiority of the American nuclear family in grade school. A good family was a working dad, stay at home mom, and obedient children. We felt sorry for children from broken homes. All of my grade school teachers who taught that were women. The principal was a woman. There was one male teacher in the school. He got busted for molesting children.

There is now some interesting work that views the nuclear family as part of the fragmentation of the extended family.

My daughter got us a Hamilton Beach breakfast sandwich maker for Christmas.  You can make sandwiches with English muffins or biscuits.  Basically, this contraption has a place where you put the bottom of the sandwich, along with cheese and bacon/sausage/whatever, then you close this trap door thingy, then you crack an egg on top of that and put the top on, close it and in like 4 minutes, boom, breakfast sandwich.  Pretty fucking awesome.

And yes, we also have the griddle to make over easy eggs, bacon, hash browns, etc.  Breakfast on the weekend...really not a whole hell of a lot better.

It does not butter the bread.

The meat needs to be at least partially cooked.  We use the precooked bacon from Costco.  Or, you could fry some bacon ahead of time.  Sausage, same.  Cook it first, or get precooked.

Yes, you could use bagels.
