We’re just playing pin the tail on the donkey at this point. The fact that Coach Underwhelm makes more money than Frank Martin insults my intelligence.

But see. That’s the thing with kids these days. Had that been me that got my you know what handed to me by a crackpot mid major, I’d want to come back next season and make things right for not only themselves, but the fans and the people they think they represent. When we were still in the tourney I saw people out locally in the bars with all the orange hairdues🤣🤣🤣, first time I’ve seen them in along time because it’s been along time since you could rep the orange with a straight face.

Kids today are soft as charmin period. No allegiance to anyone but themselves. I call it the Lebron due to not the fact that he calls himself king and all, that will always be MJ, but the you know I’m taking my talents here there everywhere. In Lebrons mind he thinks he’s better than MJ, but the titles and efficiency of getting them will always separate them.

We may not be at this moment, only reason the list was created was a fun pick em thing and also we DID have interest and recruiting efforts spent on them in the past.

There’s an absolutely ridiculous rumor that Liddell is going to leave OSU if they dont land a 5, as playing the 5 would be costing him NBA hype. And of course he could side right into the 4 at Illinois.

Probably half true, as they are actively looking for a 5.

Really glad we didn't get this kid. He was over-ranked out of HS IIRC, and he is lumbersome to me....rather have the Hawkins/Hutcherson/Giorgi types for the ILLINI moving forward. Payne will be a solid start as long as his one major transgression doesn't come around again.

He is undersized post in college. He is definitely not a 4.
He was a Top 150 guy. Contributed on a Top 10 team. Was not overmatched.
Very physical and decent fundamentals on defense under the basket. 
Not bad really.

You are glad we didnt get Liddell? Interesting

I’m not sure what people think they are seeing in Payne but....you won’t find much of it reflected in played game logs...
