When it comes to Miller’s game, [Bryce's father Clyde] Hopkins says the standout freshman has plenty more in his bag of tools he wasn’t necessarily able to show at Illinois in year one.

“I’ve been watching Adam since his freshman year (of high school), I really like his game. Very versatile,” Hopkins told KSR. “He wasn’t able to show a lot of it this year down at (Illinois). He can handle the ball really well, he can shoot it, just a very versatile combo guard.”

Miller (or his mom) is looking to showcase his point guard skills for the NBA.

I’m sorry, but this is ridiculous and we’re still making excuses for Coach Underwhelm. I’m not gonna lie. I’m disappointed we didn’t get to see the end of last year as that team had a chance at the second weekend and played like a team. This 2020-2021 team didn’t. Most everyone with working brain cells would tend to agree. Even my dad said early after a few losses were not a top 25 team 🤣🤣🤣 and I wasn’t going to disagree with him because he had a point. Yeah, at some point we caught lighting in a bottle and it was after Ayo got hurt, they played like a team and nobody handled the Ayo return well as it never really looked the same again. BTT it looked good I get it. Apparently Ayo and Adam thing was real back before college. I mean, when you can’t keep one decent player to return when we should have had a top 5 starting 5 says it all to me. Probably see you all in another 15 years🤣🤣🤣

Granted the last two years have been good after two bad years, but it takes a year or two to get going I’ll give you that. With all that said with what’s coming back we’re headed to the CIT. No way Kofi stays now with all the egos declaring for the draft on this team🤣🤣🤣. Shocked Adam didn’t either to be honest, just listen to mama and play overseas 🤣🤣🤣. I’m starting to think Coach Underwhelm can recruit a little bit, but Xs and Os are killing his resume.

We’re slowly going back up the good coaching tree. Henson/Krueger/Self set a standard. Weber/Groce/Underwhelm and granted Underwhelm is trying to clean up previous messes. Problem for Underwhelm is he’s making a mess of this team. It went from top 5-10 to laughingstock overnight.

Am not exactly sure what they are looking for. I imagine they see him as a combo guard of some sort.
He has not shown those skills. He had 25 assists and 33 TOs in 31 games. Nobody put a gun to his head to just sit in the corner and not attack closeouts.
When he did drive later in year he got stuffed and did not show ability to finish or penetrate and kick.
He needs to work on those aspects at this level. Do the work.


Hell, even Ayo is not really a combo guard. He was a TO machine under ball pressure, and lacks the needed handle overall, or decision making.
Will be a contributing scoring wing for somebody at next level if he commits to guarding.

I may be wrong, but it seems like a lead or point guard needs court awareness, strong handle, passing skills. Miller has not demonstrated any of those.

UK's guard situation is historically weak for them. He could get rotation minutes. They  could also suck again.
