I think even the teams on your third line have some potential to get on a heater if they get the right matchups. This league is so well scouted. MSU has beaten 3 top ten teams in a week or whatever (with plenty of help from the zebras and B1G) and while Rutgers hasn’t fared well with the B1G gauntlet they have some balance and ballers and could tear some shit up against teams that don’t know them like the back of their hand. Maryland defends at a high level and presents matchup problems for a lot of teams. Wisconsin is a bunch of grizzled veterans in a league in which they just can’t compete physically but they won’t beat themselves. Seems a team like that makes a nice run about every year in the tourney.

Well said Lk.

(1/2 seeds) Illinois,Michigan, & Iowa
I'm pretty sure both these teams are locked into 1 seeds, even if either or both lose their first round games of the BIG10 tournament.  Both teams are far too impressive among those competing to take their place. Iowa and Alabama will have the best shot of the bunch of any to claim this if they can win their respective tournaments.

(3/4 seeds) Ohio-St & Purdue
With the exception of the Iowa game, 3 of Ohio State's final 4 losses were brutal finishes blowing 2 to 3 possession leds with just a few minutes to go.  They may have fallen down to the 4 or 5 line with a opening round loss in the Big Ten Tournament.

(10-12 seeds) MSU, Wisconsin, Rutgers, & Maryland
Resume wise Maryland seems to be the weakest of this bunch.  Only 2-3 vs. Quad 2 where as the other 3 teams are 4-2 or 5-2. All of them do have at least 4 quad 1 wins.  I'd say Rutgers and Michigan St. are the two most likely teams to win a game or two.  I'm not as sure of Maryland as I once was after blowing that game with Penn State. Wisconsin has lost 8 of their last 12 after starting 12-3.

Supposedly Weiskamp injury is moderate and he could maybe be back on weekend, or just get ready for NCAA.
Good for him. Great kid. Best wing in BT down the stretch.

No word on Brooks which sounds like coach speak for not great news. Howard claims he has not talked to trainer?? I like Howard a lot, but that is bullshit.
UM is suddenly looking kind of like shit after the epic performance versus OSU.

They’re delusional talking about getting Brad Stevens and Billy Donovan. I could see Beilein, Matta, or Pitino as realistic candidates. The only problem is they all come with so much age, health, or baggage. Would somebody like Oats wanna go there? Is it still a top job?
Because FOX News told me so…

The last time I remember an Illini team start so-so and then really start to gel and make me believe they'd be the team based on a late run was '88

None of that this year, plz - that was a gut punch

Five front end one-and-ones missed in the last 3 minutes to hand the game to Villanova.  Gut punch, indeed.  That was the last in a trifecta of gut punches -- after Alabama and Austin fucking Peay.

And then we only got "one year off" before Dayton, with that year being losing to Michigan after roping them twice
