When prices were skyrocketing in 2021-22 and restaurants took prices out of their menus because they were changing so often, Ray told us it was just transitory.
The fed initially said the post pandemic was transitory. Not sure where you got the just part. It was world wide and related to bottlenecked supply chains.
It proved to be more persistent than expected. Some say this was due to other transient factors; stimulus packages, the Russian invasion of Ukraine, a labor shortage... The Fed backed off calling it Transitory
4 years later and a different president, and every MSM company starts running the same “affordability crisis” narrative like this just started. Naturally, Ray believes that, as well.
I have said and believe no such thing.
Inflation has slowed to almost pre-pandemic levels, but prices remain high and tariffs have made the cup of coffee I am enjoying too expensive. Trade relations are not good.
It's not a crisis. Not yet. More like snafu
