Playoff chances just got a big boost. Lions just tied up their game at end of regulation. A lions loss would be huge.

Damn good team win. Defense played admirably considering all of the injuries.

I know Mason Rudolph was the QB but agreed. Excluding Caleb gift wrapping them 7 points, only 21 points allowed from the mash unit D. Played their asses off in the 2nd half.

And while the defense is still accountable for it, another TD came on long run on a great gimmick call. Tomlin is the most conservative coach in the league.

Hard to say if Rudolph was a downgrade. I think with Rodgers these days you can’t be sure what you’re going to get. Good solid win.

Judging by Rodgers track record vs the Bears, Steelers win today if he plays.

1) he’s almost 42 now
2) no longer on the Packers

LOL wut? (As you would say.)

What teams would play Rudolph over Rogers, even at this point in Rogers' career? Rogers beats the Bear yesterday as he can audible to counter whatever the Bear were doing defensively. Rudolph over JJ McCarthy? Sure.

The Bear D has made Tyler Huntley and Mason Rudiolph look remotely competent due to the D injuries. Again, the Bear, generally, need to put up a ton of points to outscore people given the shape of the defense. Good thing they scored enough yesterday. Not sure that happens even with old man Rogers with a fractured arm.

So what? 1) he's not Mason Rudolph and 2) he knows how to read defenses and audible. I doubt he is leaving a TE on Sweat with no RB help.....

He’s had a couple of clunkers this year. He’s almost 42. And if we’re counting the injury he probably would have been worse than Rudolph.

In his last 3 games he has 3 TDs and 2 INTs. It’s not like he’s been lighting the world on fire.

Mason Rudolph as a starter with Pittsburgh was 8-4-1. So he’s capable. A downgrade from Rodgers, but probably not a huge one IMO.

The same Bears defense that had multiple practice squad guys taking important reps?

Not sure I buy that.

Which is the point. You don't think Rogers is able to better handle those type of players and resulting matchups than Rudolph or Huntley?

He would "get healthy" against the corpse that is the current Bear defense.

I am leery that Hurts is going to look like Dan Marino on Friday
