Hope this Guardsman never has to take part in combat or a potential conflict.   There's a pretty good chance that standing around and being ignored will be part of the experience.

There are disconnects all over the place, and I can only infer there is some industrial-strength deceit taking place.  Looks like we have the candidates for blame being extraordinary incompetence or malicious informed neglect.

They have not gotten around to clearing all the Trumpists out of the Capitol Police yet.

That was such a pathetic effort to protect the Capitol when the whole world knew there would be a potentially dangerous rally of sorts. So pathetic that Occam’s Razor suggests someone wanted these people in the building. And I highly doubt Donald J Trump was the only one that could see some utility in the potential breach. 100% allowed it to happen.
