Iowa State favored -2.5 Over is 146.5 as of today.

TV: TBS/TruTV
Date: Thursday, March 28
Time: 9:09 p.m. CT

Sweet 16 Matchup (hell yea-bout time)

ILLINI played #3 twice, #6, #8, #10 losses were by a combined (7pts-7pts-5pts-6pts with a win over #23 with 8 pts.)

Cyclones played # 2 twice , #21, #14, #17, #21, #22 (combined losses of 15 pts-byu-2 pts, 8 pts with wins over #2-#22-#17 by point total of 21.)

We can play with anyone. Cyclones have a fairly deep team with multiple players of size. The PG-Lipsey is the straw that stirs in their case. They are not a great rebounding team, and they hold their opponents in the mid 60 scoring wise. Both teams foul and get fouled almost identically by the numbers.

If the ILLINI rebound, and force some turnovers, the ILLINI should prevail. Offensive efficiency (126.8) is 3rd highest of all time (illini), other 2 higher went to NC game, against the current #1 defense in the country.

This will be the BEST Sweet 16 matchup imo....ILLINI 82 Iowa State 71

Couple of interesting stats to consider going into tonight.

Iowa state 29-7
7-7 this season when their opponent scores more than 65 points.
5-5 on the road, and 6-2 on Neutral floors, including NCAA and big 12 Tournaments
11-6 vs. Quad 1 teams.

Illinois 28-8
6-5 when they score less than 80 points in a game. 
6-5 on the road, and 7-0 on Neutral floors, including NCAA and big 10 Tournaments
8-6 vs. Quad 1 teams.
