I completely respect everything about the 89 team and what they did and meant to school legacy and whatnot. And maybe head to head they pummel the 05 team. But 2005 was just dominant compared to their peers, and, as the Sleepers guys said the other day, the best Big Ten team of this century. Purdue this year could change that, but they’ll still finish with at least two more losses than 05 Illinois.

Nicely said. The 89 team gave us a chance and some hope. The 05 team was fully expected to seal the deal. Head to head? That would be a great game!
