I hope Caleb puts up great inflated passing stats for 12 years, wins zero playoff games, and then goes and wins a Super Bowl with another team; then we can build a statue to him. Bronze or copper?

I don't get what point you're trying to make.

We can't use statistics or objective production to evaluate a quarterback.  We can't use his win/loss record.  What CAN we use to evaluate a quarterback?  I've been asking you all day, and every time you list something and I apply it to Fields or another player, you immediately decide it's an unfair metric.

You name which metrics are fair to use to evaluate Fields relative to other current and previous QBs, and we'll make those comparisons.  It seems like the answer is “nothing” - no metric is fair to use to evaluate Fields, because the metrics are all mediocre or worse.  If that’s the case in your mind then fair enough, just let me know and I’ll stop wasting my time trying to get you to apply consistent logic to your arguments.

And you would defend this play to the ends of the earth if Fields had made it.  You defended dozens of far worse decisions this year.

I didn't mind him throwing to the open guy in the end zone, but obviously getting hit affected the throw a lot.

At a bar in Breck, some dude is jabbering about the packers, he's wearing a Jordan Love jersey. I give him a bit of side eye and he accuses me of being a Niners fan and I say "Let's just say I'm very confident about the outcome tonight".

He says "Yeah the Cowboys thought so too"

I pointed at his buddy who was wearing Bears gear and said "I think the Bears will win a playoff game before the Cowboys ever do, so you aren't saying much"

I found the end result to be delicious. But I win 800 bucks if the Lions take them out so I'm a Detroit fan now.

Isn't Fangio the Miami DC? Skeptical he can lateral if he is under contract. Unless Miami lets him out.
