At least this is fair criticism. This is from a scout, who probably wouldn’t be quick to call out coaching. Particularly from a team he used to work for.

Well, he is a former scout, but the fact is that Fields has not progressed as hoped.  Who is at fault? Everyone, including Fields.

It’s Fields’ fault, Obvi!

They said with the wind, they were 8 yards out of his range.

It's fair to criticize them for not going deeper on the plays leading up to that, for sure.

You continually try to pretend others want to blame EVERYTHING on Fields, but that's absolutely false.  The reality is that, most of us want to blame Fields' play on Fields, but you insist that no one blame any thing on Fields, ever - including his play.

If after the game I'd said "The Bears defense played well enough to win but were held back by terrible playcalling and mediocre as fuck QB play" and you'd said "yep, rough day from Getsy and Fields" then we could've shaken on it and moved on.  But you cannot stomach anyone criticizing Fields ever, for anything, period - so you've spent the 4 hours since arguing that Fields wasn't actually mediocre and that if he looked like he was, it was everyone else's fault.  You obviously have lost the thread, you're completely unreasonable regarding Fields at this point.  Simply completely unwilling to accept any criticism of him for anything he does at any point.

I haven't seen a single person criticizing him because he didn't bail us out with 30 seconds to go.  That's just a convenient strawman for people who don't want to talk about how he actually played today.

Jones #93 covering the TE on the Zone Blitz did not work out, that is for sure.

It was a great play, no doubt.

Holding onto a guy who's started 36 games because of the plays he CAN make instead of the type of plays he makes with consistency is a good way to totally fuck up your football team's future in the long term.  This is exactly the kind of play Caleb Williams CAN make, without question - whether he will be able to reign it in and make the regular plays consistently is the question.  Fields has not done that.

We're still talking about ceiling for a guy who has started THIRTY SIX NFL GAMES.  It defies all logic.

Rough. Pressure with 3 man rush.

Do you search on X for "excuses for Fields" or what?  Like, it's crazy how you can just run out a never-ending list of excuses for the guy for months.

Trey knows how to use the most base stats to make a stupid argument. Yay for Trey. Look at Fields’ numbers compared to other QBs who’ve played at Cleveland this year. They’re about average. And when you factor in drops they would have been significantly better. How many of those incompletions were throwaways? Was Fields great today? No. But he was better than probably anyone else on the offense. Including his coach.

The stats are the stats……………… a few EXTRA dots, wait for it……………………….. until they’re not…
Because FOX News told me so…

When you've fallen to this level, you can't even see the light anymore.

This shit is pathetic man.  You're better than this.  No one thinks Caleb Williams makes Mooney make the miracle play here.  Zero people.  It was a prayer, no matter who threw it.

But I guess at the end of the day, if you can't trust @FieldsGoatQB1 on Twitter, who really counts as a credible source?

I apologize guys, I said Fields had a 60 yard TD dropped. It was an 80 yard TD (that was perfect 60 yards downfield). Play better, Justin.

Maybe time to grow up a little Tempo?  You're melting down like a 6 year old right now.

Yeah, it’s sarcasm.
