So they have not been giving up over 25 points a game the last 5 games until today?

If Tonyan didn’t suck the Bears put up at least 24 on a wet and windy day.

Their defense has been much better at home.

They gave up 27 to the Jags at home just a week ago and Lawrence sucks, according to you.

Now they did hold the Steeler to 10 points at home,  a month ago .

Bears offense is like the Steeler O, so that makes sense.

The defense scored 7 and there was that 3 yard TD March.

I never said Lawrence sucks. Perhaps you don’t understand sarcasm. He also threw 3 picks. He’s also got a real offense around him.

Cherry picked. Lol ok

What would you call it where you pick out one example that confirms your bias and ignore some that don't?

They're a good defense.  They have not been that good a defense lately.  They got Ward back recently (today, maybe?) and that probably helps quite a bit.

By scoring, they're a middle of the pack defense (14), giving up 20.9 PPG coming into today.

They were giving up 15.4 PPG coming after 5 games, and they've given up 24.375 points per game in the last 8 coming into today.  That last 8 number includes a shutout against Arizona but also 38 to the Colts, 29 to the Broncos, 36 to the Rams, and 27 to the Jaguars.

They're definitely talented, but they haven't really been shutting teams down or anything.  The Bears offense just didn't look good (including the coaching, running game, receivers, and yes - quarterback).  At some point I think Fields deserves blame for his part of that, even if it isn't all his fault by any means.

Yeah that’s true. Field still wasn’t  close to being the biggest problem with the Bears today.

They had a lot of problems today. Not punting was the largest, but you said to go for it after a "LOL" for properly suggesting they punt. LOL. OL sucked, after you claimed they were set at OL except C. LOL. Defense at the end was very Illinois-ish after you said they were set on DL and LB. LOL.

Epic fails on your hot takes the past 24 hours.

1) go for it (but not with a bullshit Nagy call)
2) FG (unless it was definitely out of range, but I want to say it was like 49 yards?
3) punt. Nobody punts from the 30 somethin these days

The DL was stuffing them in the middle all day. The OL sucks. The defense had been doing well and had been effective deep in the Brown end. As I said at the time,  punt.

I was proven right.

Just read Santos is 5 of 5 from 50+ this year.

It was less than a yard. If you don’t believe you can get that up the middle get the fuck out of coaching.

Haven't you been talking about the playing conditions re: Fields for a while?

.. what if you can't?

Haven't you also been talking about how badly the Bears need a better center?

There was wind and rain. You would think they watched him kick before the game and at half. He misses and they are in even better field position.

The NFL is not a video game where you can set a  No Weather setting.

Call a sneak. If it fails, no one cries about it because it’s such a high success play. You went with the percentages, but no, we fucking Nagy’d it.
