I took a look.  By yards, Herbert was better by almost double.

By passer rating, Herbert was better.

By turnovers, they're tied.

The point is, it ain’t always pretty. Fields is still young, but no chance at getting better as the Bears get better also IYO. I think that’s short-sighted.
