Other major changes are expected at MSNBC. In January, Rachel Maddow, the network's best-known anchor, returned to hosting her 9 p.m. show five days a week during the first 100 days of the Trump administration after having scaled back to only Mondays. At the time, the network said that Alex Wagner, who had hosted the 9 p.m. show four days a week, would return at the end of April.

A settlement has been reached in a $30 million lawsuit against NBC and MSNBC.
In Sept 2020, before people would be going to the polls in the 2020 Presidential election they ran with an unverified "whistleblower" allegation that an individual, who they labeled as the "uterus collector", was performing unnecessary mass hysterectomies on immigrant women in a Georgia ICE detention facility.
2 medically necessary hysterectomies, 1 due to cancer, had been performed.

"And the reporters who wrote the story — Jacob Soboroff and Julia Ainsley — shared concerns.
It doesn’t “sound like they have much beyond the complaint,” Soboroff texted Ainsley in September, according to court documents.
“Only two hysterectomies?” Ainsley reportedly replied."

Christopher Scholl was the NBC standards deputy.
"“She [the whistleblower] has no direct knowledge of what she’s claiming, is unable to name the doctor involved (if I understood correctly), and we are unable to verify any of it or determine whether there really is a story here,” Scholl said in an email. “Essentially, it boils down to a single source — with an agenda — telling us things we have no basis to believe are true.”

Aah...the Little Ice Age.  A favorite watering hole for climate science denialists, who are fond of using this period of markedly colder temperatures as evidence of “natural fluctuations” in climate.  But we know that this isn’t true of current climate change — if anything, natural forces would be making the planet cooler again if we weren’t dumping so much carbon into the atmosphere. 

Despite the differences, the Little Ice Age can teach us how societies responded to the disruptive effects of climate change.  We can learn what humans did right and what they got wrong.  But we better be quick about it because the Little Ice Age was just a “sampler.”  Back then, the average global temperature cooled by a fraction of a degree.  We’ve already warmed it by 1.1C and are set to blow past 1.5C in the next few decades.

Are you suggesting they were anything but? The same thing could happen at any time now, and it would be worse than the warming. Many places in the northern hemisphere saw over 2 degrees drop that had nothing to do with human activities.

You obviously missed the entire point. California wildfires in the last few years have completely undone decades of carbon reduction initiatives. How much did the Canadian wildfires undo? What happens if we have the same reduced solar activity,
volcanic activity blocking solar radiation, build-up of solar-reflecting ice, or changes in the Earth's orbit and tilt that they did in the Little Ice Age?

It’s cute that you think we have any real measure of control over this shit. It’s one step forward and two steps back right there in the same state that claims to be the leader in climate change mitigation.

I literally made the point of humans adjusting to climate change and you’re acting like that’s your own novel idea in your post.

What do you know about the times when earth was warmer than it currently is? It must have been a barren wasteland, right?
