Coaching Carousel Update
« on: March 18, 2024, 12:57:42 PM »
Diebler is chosen to lead Ohio State, watched presser, I think Diebler is the perfect hire for the school, ties, Dad coaching, recruiting...etc. Watching the presser, almost seemed as if I was watching/feeling like sometime B1G happening. We will see over time.

FAITH in God is very apparent, and will serve him well. Seems like a very good young coach @ 37, The Ohio State could have done much worse.

Open Positions:

Louisville
Michigan
Okla State
Stanford
Vanderbilt
Washington

10 other mid major openings as well.

Rumblings about Dusty May leading for Louisville? He can do so much better than that dumpster fire.

Michigan would be far better for him, mid west recruiting, B1G exposure in an expanding P-5, and status program. Way more so than Louisville imo.

SMU will have a HUGE NIL package and be able to get some serious talent with their recent head scratching firing.

Okla State Not a bad choice either, second tier at best though.

Many others yet to open but those are the best choices for May.

From Peoria. Indiana grad (Knight student manager) and former assistant at EMU so it makes some sense, although the run last year was because Purdue majorly helped them out, but the guy has FAU at 8-9-seed level, and for Michigan that'd be a major improvement right now.

May to Michigan, should equate to some good talent in Ann Arbor. May is young, enthusiastic and willing to take this school back to where it belongs. Would rather of had him going elsewhere though....he will make a dent in the B1G, imo.

So they replaced a guy that did less with a great deal of talent (by MVC standards) for...basically the same guy.

Smart move for Enfield if this actually happens.

Pat Kelsey to Louisville after May goes to Michigan.

I actually think both schools in turmoil got good coaches to help them build back up....funny thing is May is a very good get for Michigan, Kelsey is probably the better long term coach....Louisville wins this one imo.

In the span of a couple of weeks Keatts went from likely being fired to probable 4 year extension.
"He commented more than once that, 'You know, Hitler did some good things, too,'" Kelly recalled to The Times. Kelly said he would usually quash the conversation by saying "nothing (Hitler) did, you could argue, was good," but that Trump would occasionally bring up the topic again.
