Charges probably won't be brought because it's not worth the time and resources to file charges when interfering with federal law enforcement is viewed as a 'peaceful protest' by too many.
Texas was ordered to remove razor wire at the Rio Grande River because it might interfere with the rescue of struggling individuals who are attempting to enter the country illegally and in harm's way.
But it's apparently ok to interfere with aiding struggling individuals in harm's way in the Des Plaines River.

Farah Larrieux finished her last overnight hotel shift at 6 a.m. that Monday and pulled her trash bins to the curb outside her home in South Florida. She is 47, has spent 16 years here, and runs her own communications business. Both jobs are paused now. She has stocked her cupboards so she doesn't have to leave the house, taped a sheet of white paper over the glass panel in her front door in case ICE agents come, and memorized her attorney's phone number in case she is detained. She has publicly criticized Haiti's government.
"If I don't get mistreated by ICE at the detention center, I may be killed in Haiti," Larrieux said. "My blood will be on Trump's hands."
Homeland Security says "conditions in Haiti have improved sufficiently to support the return of Haitian nationals." The State Department tells Americans not to travel to Haiti at all. The country has been under a national state of emergency since March 2024, armed gangs control much of it, and violence has displaced more than a million people.
Roughly 50,000 children born in the U.S. have a Haitian parent who held TPS. Josiane Valsaint has lived and worked legally in San Diego since 2010 and has a 10-year-old and a 12-year-old born there. BREAKING🚨 A young woman was DRAGGED across the pavement outside a Newark ICE jail, her shirt pulled off, screaming for help. The nurse who tried to help was THROWN by ICE agents - leaving her with a concussion, three meniscus tears, and a fractured kneecap.
Norma Bowe is a registered nurse, a grandmother, and a public health professor at Kean University who has parked a mobile clinic outside Delaney Hall in Newark for the past year, giving out blood pressure checks, first aid, food, water, baby formula and blankets to families visiting people locked inside. She started after a student's husband was detained there, about a week before that student's graduation.
On Memorial Day, May 25, she was asked to help someone hurt near a secondary gate. Three days earlier, roughly 300 detainees inside had launched a hunger strike over conditions. Agents were firing rubber bullets and pepper spray into the crowd outside.
Around 1 p.m., wearing a bright red stethoscope, Bowe saw agents dragging a young woman along the ground. "She was being dragged, arms over her head, and her whole shirt came off," Bowe said. "She was yelling: 'Help me. Help me.'"
Bowe moved toward her. One masked agent grabbed the back of her shirt, a second came from her right, and she "flew through the air and crashed to the ground, bouncing once," according to the claim, head on the concrete sidewalk, lower body on the asphalt.
An MRI found the fractured kneecap and three medial meniscus tears. She was also diagnosed with post-concussive symptoms and whiplash. Two months on, she still has headaches, trouble sleeping, and pain around her left eye.
Members of the public helped her. The agents and the other federal officers standing there did not.
"What went through my head was Alex Pretti, the nurse who was killed in Minneapolis, trying to help somebody up from the ground," Bowe said.
Two days later she was back at the clinic, facial abrasions still visible.
The ACLU of New Jersey filed a $500,000 claim on July 29 alleging assault, battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress. It is one of 54 filed across 17 states and Washington, D.C. Her lawyers say photographs exist, but the agents' masks make identifying them difficult.
DHS did not answer the allegations, pointing instead to its statement from that day calling the crowd "rioters" and saying officers used "the minimum amount of force necessary."

You didn't mention that she applied for asylum with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services in January 2024, before the 90 days elapsed. That case is still pending. That is probably why she was able get a work permit and a Texas driver's license in the meantime. Besides the fact she has no criminal record.

The asylum case doesn't necessarily prevent deportation.
She entered the country on a 90 day visa. She didn't enter requesting asylum.

It's an anti-immigration enforcement story about someone who entered the country legally for 90 days and has been here an additional 2 1/2 years after her VISA expired.
She should have accepted the terms of her VISA and left 2 1/2 years ago. Or her fiancee could have taken her to a church or the justice of the peace instead of going to the airport.

BREAKING🚨 An Army staff sergeant brought his new wife onto his military base to register her as his spouse — and ICE took her away.
Matthew Blank and Annie Ramos had been married for just TWO DAYS.
Matthew, 23, had served in the Army for more than five years and deployed overseas. Annie, 22, was a biochemistry student and Sunday school teacher who had lived in the United States since she was a toddler.
The newlyweds drove from Houston to Fort Polk in Louisiana with Matthew’s parents. They were there to get Annie her military ID, activate her benefits as an Army spouse and start moving her onto the base with her husband.
They signed in at the visitor center and handed over exactly what they had been told to bring: Matthew’s military ID, their marriage license and Annie’s Honduran passport.
They expected to be sent to the benefits office.
Instead, ICE agents arrived.
Matthew watched his new wife get put in handcuffs and taken away to an immigration detention center as their family cried.
“She got ripped away from me,” he said.
Annie had been brought to the United States before she was two years old. Her immigration problem traced all the way back to a hearing her family missed when she was about 20 months old, resulting in a removal order issued while she was still a baby.
She had no criminal record and had already tried to obtain legal status through DACA. She and Matthew were also working with an immigration lawyer as they pursued legal status through their marriage.
The Trump administration had also eliminated a policy that previously told immigration officials to consider a close family member’s military service as a significant reason for leniency.
Five days after she was taken from the base, ICE released Annie.
She came home to Matthew wearing a GPS monitor, while the government continued removal proceedings against her.
“All I have ever wanted is to live with dignity in the country I have called home since I was a baby,” Annie said after her release.
