The playoffs are a pipe dream at this point. Far and away of most importance at this point is finding out if Fields can be your quarterback going forward. If I’m the GM/HC everything would be geared toward answering that question. You’ve got 14 games to figure it out. The training wheels have to come off the offense.

Anyone with half a brain wants the clock running as much as possible in 2H.

Seems like the coaches understand that having Fields out there slinging it all second half in garbage time might devalue him even more.

LMAO

Moving on from him devalues him more than a bad half against KC. What a jamoke of a take. They are not worried about his “value” if they’ve decided to move on.

The idea of trading Fields for maximum value is out the window. He either succeeds here or fails here at this point.

If you wanted to trade him for value, last year was the time to do it.

You forget that the training wheels were off the offense last year before the bye. That didn't go very well, did it?

Pretty absurd to say that the training wheels were off the offense when they were only throwing the ball about 17 to 24 times per game

In the second game of the year, they literally remained run heavy down 14 to Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay in the fourth quarter

If you will recall, that was when they ran a quarterback, sneak from the shotgun formation, that should’ve been a giant red flag on Getsy at the time.

Man it’s really sad they have these experienced coaches that get paid millions of dollars to work with Justin Fields on a daily basis and the morons just refuse to turn him loose

Yes, because what they’ve been doing has worked so well

This is an indictment of the coaching staff. They need to come up with an offense,  regardless of how rudimentary or even unique i.e., not used in the NFL, the scheme is, to fit Fields' limited skill set. They refuse to do it.

They should run the wing-T. Or the veer.
