I’ll take your word for it. But the overwhelming narrative here is that “they don’t trust Fields so we’re stuck doing this.” Which is utter bullshit.
If you didn’t trust Fields they should have traded him. And they wouldn’t have traded for DJ Moore. Which were points brought up on Parkins and Spiegel.
Come on. This "analysis" completely ignores the possibility that they fell for all the hype (shame on them) and traded for Moore expecting Fields to improve in the offseason from year 2 to 3 (when he was not at the Bulls game) and they now realize (when they are not practicing 7-on-7) he did not do so. Ergo, they do not trust him and now have some explosive receivers waiting for bubble screens and expected to block.
I seriously doubt there were teams that would trade for him for whatever the Bear were asking for given the hype. Everyone can see that he cannot read the field or make decisions quick enough.
