Then they started bringing in weaker characters after a while like Ernest T. and the Darlings.

Ok, but what you got against Bea? 

We're going to have to disagree on weaker characters like Bass and the Darlings.  Those characters were great.  I think all of it was great up until it went to color and after Knotts was gone.  Then it was done.

I have that on in the shop anytime I'm out there in the evenings.  MASH usually before it, Gomer Pyle (but not a big fan), and I think Hogan's Hero's and Green Acres later still.
