I just did. I agree to an extent. I would add that parents should not try to be their children's buddy. They should raise  them. Teach and coach, praise and scold them.

The author did not say do not be with your kiddos. Just let them play their 'tend like games and be there and watch and do your things. She also says that might not work for everyone.
