I'm glad it's easier for you.
Minnesota led the country at 80% in Nov.

So why is the first state legislative activity in 2021 for most red states to make it more inaccessible?  Some have said it's a solution in search of a problem.  I disagree.  They know what their problem is and are trying to make it go away.

Jim Crow 3.0
The state that prides itself on voter turnout election after election after election.

Mn requirement for early voting required only 5 hours of weekend voting for 2020, from 10-3 on Sat before the election.
What's Ga now ? 4 days of 9-5, and includes at least 1 Sunday ?

People stood in line for hours in Mn in Nov. All I remember was 'it's worth it to vote'. But then people stand in line for hours to be the first one in the door at Wal-Mart on Black Friday. Same old same old we do it every year.  People can't get tickets for opening day and the ballpark may be 1/4 full the next day. But it's opening day.

Mn doesn't really use ballot boxes. 'Out state' ( rural ) counties that rely on mail in voting may use monitored ballot boxes. Minneapolis had 1 at the government center in downtown Minneapolis for the 440,000 Minneapolis residents.

Mn does not automatically register voters. The voter is responsible and an id is required, which everybody has anyway unless you live in Georgia and have no idea to get one. Actually, there may be a couple of Minnesota residents without an id, and to register requires mailing in a paper application that goes thru a process not indicated in the SOS website.
Mn does allow same day registration, but bring everything you have if you don't have an id. Bring your utility bills, a note from your landlord, or someone to vouch for you. They'll accept something.

N.Y. had 9 days of early voting in 2020. Ga is 17-19, which I believe is more than Colorado.
Delaware didn't have no excuse absentee ballot voting in 2020. They're debating it currently. Ga now has it.
The list can go on, and on, and on.

This is not about voter suppression. It's about getting ready for HR1.

The GA reduces the time absentee ballots can be requested.

Drop boxes now must be located at the office of the board of registrars or absentee ballot clerk or inside locations where early voting is taking place. This is a change when many boxes were located outside during the 2020 election. The boxes cannot be accessed when early voting is not happening. Numerous outside boxes were used in Fulton County (Atlanta).

Voting can only take place between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. during weekdays. The law does require two Saturday voting days between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., with option to add two Sunday voting days by election registrars.

The Secretary of State no longer serves as a member of the election board.

These changes were not made due to any EVIDENCE of fraud - because any shred of EVIDENCE of fraud would have been raised in the numerous lawsuits filed by Trump - they were made solely to supress minority voters.

This is probably fairly true, though poorly worded, depending on how young adult is defined.

I am curious why conservatives focus so much on 'survival rate' '-- terminology which, btw, they misuse. Is this based on the notion that anything that does not kill us somehow makes us stronger?

When 80% of the population votes, who wins? Biden by 7, Baldwin by 5

Early ballots can be requested 11 weeks before an election. Is that before debates start ?
Ballot boxes weren't legal before the 2020 election. They are now, and they're permanent.
There may be an issue with 400,000 ballot box votes and chain of custody records. Monitoring of the boxes is the result of the outside boxes.
Voting is during normal business hours. Minnesota is normal business hours. The law also allows for 7-7 voting.
The Georgia 2020 vote is still in the courts. A judge allowed for a full audit. The SoS petitioned the court, asking the court to allow an audit of only the ballot marked ballots and not the paper ballots.
Georgia now has no excuse absentee voting.
Georgia vote participation was better than the national average, in spite of the state having nothing but a bunch of dumb fuqs who don't have ids and don't know how to use a computer.
Jim Crow 2.0 was an Abrams mistake that backfired, and Abrams is now saying don't boycott Georgia. Georgia stands to lose $100 million plus. Time will tell how the voters treat Abrams.
A state with better than the national average in voter participation expanded voting capabilities with no excuse absentee voting and weekend voting.
Could it be better ? Could be.
President Unity and MLB should have stayed out of this, imo.

Why was GA's participation higher? Maybe because they made it easier to actually, uh, vote? This is all ridiculous and disingenuous. We all know why they did all this. Because you Trumpers are crybaby sore losers who don't want black people to vote. Fuck that Gov. Kemp guy with Judge Judy's small dick. So you want to change the rules to make it harder to vote, despite Trump's inability to find a single shred of evdience to support his lawsuits (just like Gore had zilch besides "hanging chads" in 2000 despite all the stories floating around). It would be more honorable if you guys just stiop lying about why you are trying to do all this.

The MLB only got involved because the players and Dave Roberts were not going to show for the All-Star game. Apparently it is fine for business to "get involved" when handing money over to Moscow Mitch or Pedo Matt Gaetz, but when it goes the other way....WAHHHHHHHHHHH!

Every eligible voter should be able to vote and have the vote counted.
If Dave Roberts doesn't want to read the bill, that's up to him. He can do whatever he wants.
Cut the crap..

You sure do not act like it.

How do you know he didn't read the bill? Maybe he thinks they should switch back to longer hours for voting, so people can vote before or after work, and be able to drop their vote off in a drop box. What are you guys scared of? (We know the answer to that...)

Talk about cutting the crap....

Minnesota had normal business hours for early voting. I think the only weekend voting was Sat before the election. There was not a peep about vote suppression and Minnesota led the country in voter turnout. Minnesota patted itself on its back. Thank 'the, you know' that there wasn't someone trying to create a problem where nobody saw one.

Good for Minnesota for not trying to stick it to people.
