MSNBC, before anyone knew anything other than Kirk had been shot, airs Dowd saying it may have been a supporter celebrating who shot Kirk.
Then the Groyper bullshit, then Kimmel.

The left didn't respond. The right did.

I once “disobeyed” (ie misunderstood) a police officer’s instructions on marathon day downtown (and took a wrong turn). Fortunately, a police officer didn’t throw himself at my car.

Kimmels problem was that he was making the point that the “right” was really really really focused on making damn sure that it wasn’t “one of us” because that would destroy their narrative.

This is not an implication that it was a MAGA, just pointing out that MAGA sure as hell hopes it’s not.

This is really bad framing in 2025. Too much nuance - it’s not a positive assertion, it’s pointing out the lack of a negative assertion.

Our pal Mn can attest that modern Americans will take ANYTHING out of context!
