The 1st article is from July
"President Donald Trump’s blanket tariffs scheduled to begin on Aug. 1 could "
Lol

The 2nd article is close to a month old.
"President Donald Trump’s blanket tariffs scheduled to begin on Aug. 1 could "
Keep sweating it out. Lol

The 3rd article is a month old.
"Consumers Should Brace Themselves ......"
All of that energy devoted to bracing was wasted. Lol

And the 4th, from a month ago also.
"How Trump’s tariffs could affect your grocery bill"

Easy fix:

https://www.cnbc.com/2025/07/29/trump-tariffs-food-prices.html

https://www.eatingwell.com/new-tariffs-affected-foods-11787328

https://www.cfr.org/article/consumers-should-brace-themselves-higher-food-prices

https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/5428344-trump-tariffs-food-grocery-prices/

You nailed it with your own article:

Quote
That said, not every item in Americans’ grocery baskets could see price increases.

Many agricultural products from Mexico and Canada, including some fruits, vegetables and meat products, are reportedly exempt under a trade agreement negotiated during Trump’s first term.

Potential duties on other imports and countries are still being worked out. Trump struck a trade deal with the European Union this week that established a 15 percent duty on goods from the bloc. But wine and spirits, for instance, still need to be negotiated, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said this week.

“The Administration has consistently maintained that the cost of tariffs will be borne by foreign exporters who rely on access to the American economy, the world’s biggest and best consumer market,” a White House spokesperson wrote in a statement.

Every month the prices and inflation are much flatter than expected and the TDS folks can’t make sense of it.

Inflation has been tamed, grocery prices are going great, and the job market is booming. Gives new meaning to Trump Derangement Syndrome.

People are noticing higher prices at grocery stores and restaurants.

Wait until the tariffs take full effect.  We're in the 'find out' part of fucking around.

Around Aug 1 there are 4 articles stating could, could, should and could.

2 weeks later, public opinion polls showed that "U.S. consumer sentiment softened in August as households anticipated higher goods prices because of import tariffs."

Where would the public get these 'anticipations ?' 🤫🤷

This happens in failing states.

Maybe Mn should watch this... here you have this rich CEO of McDonalds, very antiseptically going over their business model and saying things like "well, some of the people in the middle to lower income tiers, maybe they're just skipping a meal, and we see that in lower breakfast revenue"

Man, I don't know. Prices at McDonald's are pretty damn ridiculous now.

They're in danger of pricing out the trash that they depend on...
