Don’t think I’ve been back since my son was born 8.5 years ago. Not even quite sure what Champaign looks like anymore. I know the buildings are taller.

"He commented more than once that, 'You know, Hitler did some good things, too,'" Kelly recalled to The Times. Kelly said he would usually quash the conversation by saying "nothing (Hitler) did, you could argue, was good," but that Trump would occasionally bring up the topic again.

Green Street is nothing like it use to be. It’s has absolutely no character and looks like a big fucking city in Japan. No racist shit meant by that at all, but it’s crazy. No trees or anything. Just concrete everywhere and high rise building catering to the Asian population. It’s quite different.
Because FOX News told me so…

The only places in that article I've even heard of are Kams and Zorba's.

in that article the only thing I didn't know was wingin out

as for campus town, I was there probably 10 years ago and what a dump, everywhere I went in the greek area of champaign, looked run down, the streets were super shitty, and this was just on the way to the football stadium off a side street or so.

as for the new buildings they have built, holy fuck what a collection of absolutely shitty ugly modern architecture... for a school known for its architecture program, what an embarrassment!

Spent a couple nights in C-U back in February. Green Street and the area around it is a godawful mess. The old mainstays are gone for the most part. Murphy’s and Legends are still there and the same as I remember. I didn’t think the Greek area was that bad, and enjoyed going to the Illini Inn for a beer or two. But seriously no clue what the fuck they are doing with Green Street proper. It’s a catastrophe.
