One is now an elite defense and the other has Flus blowing double digit leads in the 4th quarter.
I know you’re not a big picture guy, and lack the ability to forward think; but because of the Roquan trade, the Bears have Edmunds, Edwards, Dexter, and Sewell, and all for about exactly the same price as it would have taken to keep Roquan. That is great cost effectiveness.
You could even argue the Montez Sweat trade and sign is less likely if the Bears don’t have 4 players under contract for what it would have taken to keep Roquan.
Roquan is a fantastic player, but I do not regret that trade one iota. Not even for a second. BTW, the Bears have a top 5 defense the last 6-8 weeks.
